About Tipperary:

County Tipperary (Contae Thiobraid Árann in Irish) is a county in the Republic of Ireland, and situated in the province of Munster. The name Tipperary is taken from the Irish 'Tiobraid Arann', which means 'the well of Era', referring to the River Ara.

Tipperary was one of the first Irish counties to be established in the 13th century. The town of Tipperary situated in the south west of the county was the subject of the famous World War I British army song "It's a Long Way to Tipperary".
